Dr. Thomas Pare III, DMD in North Charleston
Meet Dr. Pare
It is an honor and a privilege to practice dentistry. My responsibility is to provide each patient with the best possible dental care from beginning to end. I want every patient to feel cared for and at ease the entire time while we achieve a stunning smile. My father was a dentist, so I saw, almost daily, how happy he was taking care of his patients. When it came to my studies, it was an easy choice — dentistry was the right fit.
Please call us at Coosaw Dental Phone Number (843) 225-7614 with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
Education and Continuing Education
I attended the College of Charleston, majoring in Biology, and then continued my education at the Medical University of South Carolina to earn my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. From my first position treating children in a pediatric setting to my work in a practice focusing on extractions, dentures and partials for adults, I have gained valuable experience in caring for patients of all ages.
Although 85% of dentists attend only the minimum required continuing education courses of 16 hours a year, I attend over 100 hours per year. The continuing education courses provide me the most up-to-date treatment options for my patients’ needs. I thoroughly enjoy courses focusing on implants, orthodontics, and advanced cosmetic dentistry. Most recently I completed Straight Wire Orthodontics, a post graduate school in Adult and Children’s Orthodontics and the William C. Strupp Postgraduate School of Dentistry, a school specializing in advanced cosmetic dental procedures.
Communicating with other professionals in the field is one of the best ways to keep my practice of dentistry current with the newest developments in the field. I am directly involved in numerous professional organizations, including:
- American Dental Association
- South Carolina Dental Association
- Coastal District Dental Society
- Academy of General Dentistry
- Charleston Spear Study Club
- Summerville Study Club
- Donated Dental Services
In the Office
My treatments are designed to be personalized and pain-free. I am also dedicated to providing a relaxed and fun atmosphere for even the most anxious patient. My goal is to help each patient achieve a brilliant and healthy smile, and at the same time make their experience an enjoyable one. I use the latest and most advanced dental technologies and rely on a topnotch staff to make this possible. I believe dentistry is not just about treating teeth but is first and foremost about taking care of people.
I feel very blessed to be a dentist and know that it is the great community surrounding me that makes it possible. I take part in numerous outreach programs to give back and support the community that has already given me so much. This includes Give Kids a Smile, Dental Access Days, Donated Dental Services and free dental care through East Cooper Community Outreach. I love being able to use my profession to help underserved children and adults receive the dental care they need and deserve.
Outside the Office
I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan but have settled down in Charleston for 14 years now. I like to work out, travel, and spend time with friends, my wife Nicole, and our bulldog Louie. I also enjoy healthful activities like yoga and meditation. On the weekend you can find me anywhere near the water, either boating, surfing, or wakeboarding.
